Zinnias and Grandpa Frank

Every time I see Zinnias, I think of your Grandpa Frank. I admired his beautiful plantings while visiting him in Portland. Many years ago, he saved some Zinnia seeds for me to plant in Ramona. I placed them carefully and watered them faithfully. Once the sweet little plants began to pop through the ground, the wild rabbits had a field day and ate each and every one down to the ground! That was the last time I planted Zinnias till this year. I captured their growth and was amazed at the design and intricacy of each bloom. Look, carefully; aren’t they a work of art?
