Applesauce and Marinara Sauce

20130727-153444.jpg

Oh boy! 14 pints of Gravenstein Applesauce canned and waiting for hungry grandchildren! A pot of Marinara simmering on the stove with homegrown goodies: Romas, Early Girl, and Oregon Spring tomatoes, basil, oregano, parsley, garlic & Walla Walla onions! Yumm!! A pot full of homegrown summer garden fun! Love it! (I almost forgot to take a picture of the tomatoes. The other bowlful was already chopped up and ready to go in the pot.)

We will be busy the next couple of months! With Much Love & Gratitude 😘🍅

  1. What a beautiful poem Genie! Thank you for sharing! You need to stop by for some Scrabble and a bit of the bounty! Love, Arlene

  2. Genie says:

    What do you suppose?
A bee lit on my nose
And said, “I beg your pardon,
I thought you were the garden.”

Thank you, Arlene, for sharing the colors and warmth of your kitchen and garden!
