Great Grand-Chicks & Munching in the Garden

Hi Kailyn & Ellie!

Guess what?! One of Rochelle Rochelle’s chicks from last spring hatched some chicks of her own! Thanks to my friend Deb from work who gifted us fertilized eggs from her flock of chickens and roosters, we now have 5 new baby Great Grand-Chicks.

photo[10]Aren’t they cute??!! They are so much fun to watch. They are 1 week old today and they have grown and have gotten much braver. They run after their “mom” and jump up in the air to catch flying bugs. We just love hanging out and spending time watching their antics!

Today was a very fun day in the garden. I tended to the roses, planted some more sunflowers and other pretty flowers along the front fence. How are your flowers doing?

I was able to munch on some very sweet blueberries and managed to save a few to share with Grandpa. There are only 3 Super Sugar Snap peas left though~I got carried away with munching on them fresh from the vine~yum!

photoLooking forward to our visit this summer ~ we will save some blueberries and peas for you too!
