I spent a few days in San Diego this month to visit family and checked in with our friends Roger and Cyn in Bonsall. I have posted a few pictures of their beautiful oasis in the past. They are creating a magical, restful and peaceful space for humans and animals alike.
Of course, the magical flower garden has a Gazing Globe that reflects all of the colors of the garden as well as the hummingbirds, bumble bees, birds and butterflies that come to visit.
The Blackeyed Susans, Salvia and Cosmos pop out with their technicolor along with a spattering of many other beneficial flowers. Cyn recently started experimenting with vegetables and planted a mixture of pumpkin and gourd seeds. To her dismay, the gophers have discovered the patch but the pumpkins are thriving despite the hungry critters.
There is a shaded garden area outside their kitchen window with a birdbath. I tried to capture a picture of the five or so little frogs taking a dip but they quickly hopped out as I approached. The little baby mockingbirds were not so edgy. They chirped away as I shot a close up of their little home in the tree along the house.
All is well at Owl’s Roost in Bonsall, CA.
