The first transplants of broccoli were placed in a barrel in the orchard area in early April. They were a bit crowded but happy and grew to enormous size from my previous experience with growing broccoli.

We were really excited to see the first heads forming.

Another barrel was planted in May and another 6-pack awaits a new home. We are in broccoli heaven!

    Let’s see, about 2 months or 8 weeks or 56 days…not too long 🙂
    I planted from little transplants; someone else had planted the seeds. So that part took a bit longer too. Your mom used to call broccoli “little trees”!
